Peec AI Review 2026: Pricing and Limits · Rankdelta

Peec AI costs $95/mo for 50 prompts and 3 models. What it does well, where the self-serve plans stop, who should buy it, and who should not.

Peec AI Review (2026): Pricing, Strengths, and Where It Stops

Peec AI is an AI search analytics platform: it tracks a set of prompts across several AI engines and reports whether your brand is mentioned and cited, against a competitor set. The self-serve plans start at $95/month for 50 prompts and 3 models, API access starts at $245/month, and MCP access is included on every plan including the cheapest. It is a well-built product with feature depth most of this category does not have — brand perception scoring, objection tracking and AI Shopping at SKU level. Where it stops: 3 models on every self-serve tier, no self-hosting, no published data-residency option, and a $95 floor.

Disclosure: we publish Rankdelta, a competing tool. This review is based on Peec AI's published pricing, feature documentation and public pages, read on 4 November 2026 — we did not run a paid trial, and we say below exactly what that means for the confidence of each claim.

What is Peec AI?

Peec AI answers one question: what do AI engines say about a brand, and which sources do they use to say it — the question behind what the industry now calls AI visibility. You define prompts, choose models, add competitors, and it runs the prompts on a daily cadence, then reports Visibility (share of answers where you appear), Position (where you appear in the answer), and Sentiment (peec.ai).

The product is aimed squarely at marketing teams and agencies. Their site claims 4,000+ brands and agencies — their own claim, not something we verified.

What makes it more than a prompt monitor is the layer around the tracking:

  • Source analytics — which domains and URLs the answers pulled from, at domain, subdomain and URL level, with fanout and retrieval detail.
  • Brand perception — attribute scoring (the gap between what AI says you are known for and where you sit in the market), custom attributes, and objection tracking that groups recurring arguments AI raises against your brand.
  • Fact-checking — you supply statements about your brand ("facts"), and the tool checks whether tracked AI answers contradict them. Plans include 5, 10, 25 or unlimited fact-checked prompts.
  • AI Shopping — product catalogue upload (Shopify or CSV), SKU-level visibility and win rate, top merchants, shopping query fanouts.
  • Crawler-facing analytics — a crawlability audit that checks whether your robots.txt allows 40+ AI bots, plus AI referral traffic and bot-hit logs.
  • Act layer — gap analysis (sources that name competitors but not you) and recommended actions.

If your job is "make the brand show up in AI answers", that is a much wider surface than a citation counter.

How much does Peec AI cost?

Prices are public and scale by prompt volume (peec.ai/pricing, read 4 November 2026):

Plan Price Prompts Models Projects Monthly AI answers
Starter $95/mo 50 3 1 4,500
Pro $245/mo 150 3 2 13,500
Advanced $495/mo 350 3 5 31,500
Enterprise Custom unlimited unlimited (adds API engines) unlimited unlimited

Included on every plan: unlimited users, unlimited languages, unlimited competitors. Annual billing takes 15% off. API access starts at Pro. MCP access is on all plans. Looker Studio connector starts at Advanced. On self-serve tiers you pick 3 models from ChatGPT, Google AI Mode, AI Overviews, Microsoft Copilot, Gemini and Naver AI; Enterprise adds API-based engines on top of those six: Claude Sonnet 4, GPT 5 Search, Grok, DeepSeek, Qwen, Mistral, Meta Spark and Perplexity.

Their "monthly AI answers" figure is prompts × models × 30 days, which is the number that actually matters, because it lets you compute what you are paying per answer:

Plan $/month AI answers/month Cost per AI answer Cost per prompt-month
Starter 95 4,500 $0.0211 $1.90
Pro 245 13,500 $0.0181 $1.63
Advanced 495 31,500 $0.0157 $1.41

Two things follow. First, upgrading buys volume, not a different measurement — from Starter to Advanced the per-answer price falls 1.34×, and the engine calls are the same. Second, the cost is a floor, not a variable: on Starter you pay $95 whether you run 50 prompts or 12, and whether your brand is cited or not.

Cost per AI answer in Peec AI's three self-serve plans: $0.0211 on Starter, $0.0181 on Pro, $0.0157 on Advanced

For context on what an answer costs to generate: an AI model call bills a fraction of a cent to a few cents per answer depending on the engine, and on our own account a single prompt on a single engine starts at one cent of recorded cost. The rest of the $0.021 is the workflow — scheduling, storage, parsing, dashboards — which someone has to run. It is legitimate; it is also the number to have in mind when deciding whether you need the workflow or just the data.

What Peec AI does well

Credit where it is due, because a review that only finds faults is not a review:

  1. Source-level depth is the real product. Domain, subdomain and URL-level citation analysis with retrieval detail is the thing most competitors show as a single "citations" count. If you are trying to earn AI citations, this is the map.
  2. Brand perception and objections are unusual. Almost nobody scores what AI says you are known for, and almost nobody tracks the recurring objections. That output feeds content strategy directly, not just reporting.
  3. Fact-checking is genuinely differentiated. Checking whether AI answers contradict your own published statements is a real problem in a world where engines hallucinate specs and prices. It is also the feature I would miss most.
  4. Crawlability audit for AI bots. Checking robots.txt against 40+ AI bots is a five-minute job that almost nobody does, and it can invalidate everything else.
  5. MCP on every plan. Unusual and, from a buyer's perspective, generous: it means an agent can consume the data without upgrading to the top tier.
  6. Unlimited users everywhere. For agencies this quietly removes the per-seat tax that makes some competitors painful.

Where Peec AI stops

The limits that matter are not bugs — they are the shape of the business model:

  • 3 models on every self-serve plan. $95 to $495 all give you 3 of 6. If your strategy involves Perplexity, Claude or Grok, you are in Enterprise, i.e. a sales call.
  • API from Pro. If you want to feed AI visibility data into your own pipeline, the entry price is $245/month, not $95. MCP softens this, but MCP is not a substitute for a REST API when you are building a data pipeline.
  • No self-hosting, no published data-residency option. For agencies under NDA, or anyone whose client contracts restrict where prompt data lives, this can be disqualifying regardless of quality.
  • The formula is closed. You cannot read how "Visibility" or "Position" is computed, or recompute last month's number against a different definition. For an internal dashboard that's fine; for a client deliverable it is a fair question to ask.
  • Prompt ceilings are hard. 50 prompts sounds like a lot until you split 4 commercial topics across 3 engines and four personas. The upgrade path is the answer, and that is the design.
  • Daily cadence is the model on self-serve. Daily is good for trend data and it is also why the answer count is 30× prompts × models. If you want weekly to control cost, that choice exists on Enterprise.

Who should buy Peec AI

  • Agency or in-house team whose deliverable is a client report and who needs source analytics and share of voice with unlimited seats.
  • E-commerce that needs SKU-level visibility in AI Shopping — we do not do this at all.
  • Teams that need brand perception and objection tracking as inputs for content strategy.
  • Anyone who does not want to run infrastructure. This is a legitimate reason and it is the reason most buyers should pick a SaaS.

Who should not

  • A solo operator or a small team whose whole question is "am I cited on these 20 prompts". $95/month for that is a bad trade against roughly a dollar per sweep of pay-per-use calls.
  • Teams that need more than 3 engines without an enterprise contract.
  • Anyone who needs the data to stay on their own infrastructure, or who needs to show a client how the number was computed.
  • Anyone tracking a handful of prompts intermittently — the flat fee does not scale down.

Peec AI alternatives

Three real options, in the order most people consider them:

  1. Rankdelta (what we publish) — open source under AGPL-3.0, self-hostable, tracks ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews, with keyword research, rank tracking, site audit and an MCP server in the same product. The ceiling on prompts is the managed plan you buy or your own bill when self-hosted — no 50-prompt tier. What it does not have: SKU-level AI Shopping, objections, Looker Studio. Sources: open-source page, MCP docs, code.
  2. A different GEO SaaS — there are a dozen now at $20-$100/month with narrower features. Fine if you only need prompt-level mentions; check they store the full answer, not just the score (what to check).
  3. Build the loop yourself with API keys — a fixed prompt list, a cron, and a parser. It is more work than it sounds (retries, cost tracking, per-engine normalisation), and it is the honest description of what an open-source project gives you ready-made (open-source SEO software).

Rankdelta citation rate of 42% and average position #1 among cited brands for a demo project

Before paying any subscription, run the free AI visibility check: it tells you whether your brand is cited at all, which is the only thing that decides if $95/month buys you anything.

If you have already decided to leave Peec, our Peec AI alternative page has the migration checklist and the cost comparison in one place. If you have not decided, the free visibility check costs nothing and tells you whether you have a problem worth $95/month.

How this review was made

Transparency about method, since the whole category is full of confident reviews:

  • What we verified: every price, plan limit, model count and feature name above comes from Peec AI's own pricing page and product pages, read on 4 November 2026. The per-answer figures are our arithmetic on their stated definitions, with the formula shown.
  • What we did not test: we did not run a paid Peec AI trial, so we cannot tell you how the UI feels, how fast the dashboards load, or how accurate the sentiment scores are in practice. Anyone who tells you those things without saying they tested it is guessing.
  • What we cannot judge: support quality, uptime, and billing edge cases.
  • Bias: we sell a competing product. We have tried to make the "who should buy Peec" section genuinely usable, because a comparison that is wrong about the competitor is useless to the reader who has already compared.

Frequently asked questions

Is Peec AI worth it?

For a team whose deliverable is AI visibility reporting with source analytics, brand perception and unlimited seats, $95/month is defensible. For one person tracking 20 prompts to see if a brand gets mentioned, it is not: the same measurement costs about a dollar per sweep at pay-per-use prices.

How much does Peec AI cost per month?

$95 Starter (50 prompts, 3 models, 1 project), $245 Pro (150 prompts, 2 projects, API), $495 Advanced (350 prompts, 5 projects, Looker Studio). Enterprise is custom. Annual billing is 15% cheaper.

Does Peec AI have a free plan?

No free tier is published — there is a free trial through their app. The free alternative in this category is a free visibility check or a self-hosted open-source install, where you pay provider API costs per answer instead of a subscription.

Which AI models does Peec AI track?

Self-serve plans let you choose 3 models from ChatGPT, Google AI Mode, AI Overviews, Microsoft Copilot, Gemini and Naver AI (AI Overviews is a search surface rather than a chat API, so it is tracked differently). Enterprise adds API-based engines on top of the six self-serve ones: Claude Sonnet 4, GPT 5 Search, Grok, DeepSeek, Qwen, Mistral, Meta Spark and Perplexity.

Does Peec AI have an API or MCP?

Both. MCP is included on every plan, Starter included. REST API access starts at the Pro plan ($245/month).

Can I self-host Peec AI?

No. It is a closed SaaS running on their infrastructure; the source is not published and no self-hosting option is offered. If self-hosting is a requirement, this is the wrong tool regardless of features.

What is the main limitation of the self-serve plans?

The model count. Every self-serve tier gives 3 models, so the number of engines — not the number of prompts — is what pushes you into an enterprise conversation.
